If you do not know anything about the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, this little book will still make sense to you. Some people who work with psychological type a lot do not agree that people listen with their auxiliary function. However, the author makes a pretty strong case for it. She brings in the dynamic nature of Type based on the way Carl Jung described it as well as the way Isabel Myers talked about it. I have found the book extraordinarily useful in analyzing how people write as well as what they read. It also rings true in predicting how people will communicate in groups, whether or not you know their Type as indicated by the Myers Briggs Type Indicator.
